Embark on a journey with us as we enter our tenth year of business here at Kollab! As we raise our glasses to the last decade, we are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of our cherished stockists who have been integral to our journey from the outset. In this special series, 'Celebrating Connections', we invite you to join us in getting to know these amazing store owners, friends and creatives, while also unveiling a global map of where you can find Kollab's treasures and some of the best boutique stores around!


 

Heartfill is a creative retail space inspired by living slowly and consuming mindfully: two things close to Kollab’s heart!

Established in 2018 by Corrine, a mum of two girls and a self-confessed lover of colour and a total dreamer.

Corrine was a high school English and Drama teacher making a difference in young kids' lives, but after returning to work after taking maternity leave, she wanted to do something more significant for her daughters and their future. 

 

“The name Heartfill is our own antonym for Landfill. We believe in conscious consumerism, and the dream was to create a retail space where craftsmanship is showcased, creativity celebrated, and sustainability encouraged.”
The store is home to many wonderful local brands and designers, all doing amazing things.
“When you purchase something from our store, we hope that it will be used mindfully and treasured for years to come… 'fill your heart, not the land' is our motto.” 

 

Located on the idyllic Gold Coast, Corrine’s family work, live and thrive in Burleigh Heads.

“We are 100% spoiled for choice here. We have some of the best beaches in the world, but if you prefer chasing waterfalls in the hinterland, it’s only minutes away. The rainforest (just about) meets the sea here.”

 

 

Living in such a gorgeous part of the world, we asked Corrine about her ideal day!

 "A perfect day in Burleigh….
Start the day with a dip in Tallebudgera Creek.
Shop at Heartfill before lunch at Paddock Bakery…
Walk the national park around Burleigh Headland
Cap it all off with a cocktail and a lobster roll at Rick Shores watching the sunset at Burleigh Beach."

  

Kollab and Heartfill have worked together for years now, with Corrine’s favourite shape being the Shopper Tote.
“Shopper tote is my go-to bag for every day. It’s the perfect size for the farmers market, after school activities, beach, and everything in between.”
And for her customers, they can’t go past the Picnic Mat.
“The 2x2m picnic rug has been our best seller in the range for a couple of years now, for obvious reasons!”

In an ever-changing retail environment, keeping this fresh is paramount. For Corinne, this means they will always stock Australian makers, designers, and artisans first.
“Many of our local suppliers produce limited edition, small batch product runs which makes our offering a little more bespoke & constantly changing.”
Heartfill promotes and encourages sustainable futures, celebrates creativity, and reignites the love for life’s simple pleasures: all things Kollab can get behind!
