We love shining a light on our amazing Kollab stockists, and today we’re chatting with Lauren, the owner of Common Circus—a café and retail space that just hit its 10-year milestone!
Located in Hamilton, Newcastle, Common Circus is all about connection. Whether it’s catching up over coffee, finding thoughtful gifts, or shopping for beautiful, practical pieces, Lauren’s created a space where everyone feels at home.
Reflecting on her journey, Lauren says, “People didn’t really get the café and retail combo at first, but to me, it made perfect sense! I love creating spaces where people just love to be.”
Fast forward a decade, and her vision has grown into a community hub filled with heart. Running a business while raising a family is no walk in the park. Lauren’s refreshingly real about the ups and downs.
“After my second baby, it hit me—I couldn’t do it all! But I’ve learned to lean on my village.”
With her husband as the primary carer for their kids, hands-on grandparents, and a supportive team, Lauren’s built a network that helps her keep things moving. Her self-care secret?
“Netball and regular massages! Playing a team sport helps me sweat off the stress and show up for myself.”
Newcastle holds a special place in Lauren’s heart. From its incredible beaches to its relaxed vibe, it’s the perfect spot for her family and business.
